1 Week later update - Plans for the future


Hello everyone!

It's been a week and a bit since the end of the Mix and Jam game jam, and this post is here to announce the release of the game's first update and let you know what I've been up to. This last week has been all about taking a 48 hour game and turning it into something polished enough to one day become a full release.

Here are the biggest changes:

- Enemies have been completely redesigned, they now look like bats instead of robots (canonically they are robot bats)

- New enemy spawning animation

- Cape physics!

- New sound effects for jump, enemy attack and hitting the ball

- Mute button

- Enemy projectiles no longer fade out and can now be destroyed by your ball

- Miscellaneous polish and bugfixes

-Cheat codes :)

What's coming next?

This will be the last update the game recieves on Itch, and the first step towards a full Steam release. The full release will have all sorts of fun stuff, multiple balls, enemies and modifiers to give the gameplay more depth and replayability. The next few weeks will probably be spent in adding new enemies and completely reworking the progression system, so stay tuned!
